2009 • Dunvegan Bridge - Suspension span concrete deck replacement located 100 km north of Grande Prairie Alberta crossing the Peace River. This 1800 foot suspension span required the systematic removal of the concrete deck allowing for one lane of traffic to be maintained with minimal closures. Precast panels were placed under very strict conditions to maintain the bridge integrity. Position - Owner / Engineer representative. I was also brought in specifically to assist the contractor in moving this project foreword to meet schedule. My involvement with the contractor was well received and resulted in a higher level of partnering. The bridge was opened to two lane traffic on schedule, Oct 31st 2009. |
